Caramel Corn

7 1/2 quarts popped corn
2 cups brown sugar
1 cup butter, not oleo
1 tsp salt
1/2 cup white Karo syrup
1 tsp soda
2 cup pecans, peanuts or mixed nuts

Heat oven to 200°. Heat sugar, butter, Karo syrup and salt. Stir occasionally. Bring to a full boil and cook 5 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in soda. Pour over pop corn and nuts in a big bowl. Mix until coated. Spread on a cookie greased sheet and bake 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes.
